The dogs of the monarchy have thrown down the gauntlet in an attempt to encompass all that we hold dear in their search for power. They say order provides safety, though we see oppression. They claim their processes and laws will breed a new age of abundance, but we see a new age of tyranny. They say their protection will prevent needless bloodshed, yet they are the source of the bloodshed. For people to live a meaningful existence, they must have the freedom to seek their own ends. As such, there is only one acceptable form of government – no government. In order to empower people to pursue their own ends, now and in the future, we must tear down the oppressive systems of governance that hold us back. We would rather live one free day than live a thousand lifetimes of oppression. For the right to be free, we will stop at nothing. Our warlocks and necromancers are accused of being ruthless devil worshippers. However, it is through our trials—and the necessary sacrifices of our kin—that we can prevent Arthenia from being overrun by cruel, oppressive monarchs. Their brute force stands no chance against the ancient sorcery we wield. Through hexes and curses, we will tear their metal apart and expose them for the pathetic weaklings that they are. Their weapons hold no power in our caverns. In time, the soldiers that make their estates grand will run ill with their exploitive practices, and overthrow the oppressive body. It is then that we will begin a new rule. |
