Here's a question from Chris Delaney: Hey Guys, I had a quesion about Mounting. If I mount a unit that has a passive ability for instance a Sylloquin wyrm. does that passive ability apply to the whole unit? So if I mount a Silloquin wyrm with a Karthian dragoon and ruin a unit does that enable both the wyrm and the dragoon?
Response from the Conquest Team: Dear Chris, thanks for taking the time to ask your question. When one unit mounts another, the two units act just as a single unit. In this sense, once mounted by the dragoon, you can think of your Sylloquin Wyrm as a really good item. This item gives +60/+60 to your dragoon, as well as all of the abilities of the wyrm. This means that if your dragoon ruins another unit, it will be enabled. It doesn't really make much sense to talk about whether or not the wyrm is enabled, because while acting as a mount, it is not considered a unit. In this way asking whether or not the wyrm is enabled is the same as asking whether or not a unit's items are enabled - they are not enabled or disabled, because they simply have no state.
If you want more information on these issues, the relevant sections of the rules are 3.2.4 Mounted Units, and 3.2.2 State (slightly less relevant).
Hope this helps!
