Alternative Domain Construction Rules

Feeling the need to mix things up a bit? One simple way is to alter the domain construction rules and try out some experimental domains.

Here are a few sample mix-ups you can try:

  • Any three - Pick any three alignments and use them together in a domain.
  • Double element - Follow the normal rules, but add one element (works well for booster drafts).
  • Rainbow - Use any alignments in your domain (works well if you play 'packs', where you just open 3-4 booster packs and build a domain (adding your own locations/upgrades) out of them.
  • Mono - Build a domain out of just one alignment.
  • Evil twins - Pick any two polar alignments and use them together (Order/Chaos, Industrial/Natural, Fire/Water, Air/Earth

Be sure to take a second look at some of the more interesting resources. For example, think of all the possibilities with superimpose?
