Trying to decide what items will go best with your Basodes? Here are a few suggestions I thought of.

• Blearing Sand - An obvious choice, since it's Earth and you don't have to worry about what other alignments you're using. Result: Emprice with perks.
• Vial of Miasma- Because it's only 2g, you should usually have the 2g2m you need to suction this puppy on. Result: Goodbye big-sword wielding weenie--no sacrifice for you!
• Broad Schindahl - Your opponent will think he/she is safe to tackle the Basode, given your complete lack of gold. But, just then, a huge armor boost! The horror! Result: Totally throw off your opponent's equation for success.
• Iridescent Amulet - Here comes the big wizard, going for his glorious blast, and then...wah? Result: Big, juicy wizard stuck in the battlefield with nothing to show for.
• Ermonian Yelt - Sick of cowering units not letting you have your hard-earned resources? Here's the solution. Result: Ruin, resource, rejoice.
