Khamen spearman is just about as good as it gets when it comes bite-size warriors. Why, you ask? He's cheap, versatile, and one all around cool critter. ![]() In a lot of Conquest matches, a war can quickly erode into a race of "who can build the strongest army the fastest." In situations like these, resources like Khamen spearman really shine. While this card has the potential to become quite sizable (a 40/20 equivalent would normally cost 2g sustain cost), it isn't costing you very much while its not in heavy use. The extra +20 strike makes it a great candidate for running out and sacrifice-killing a bigger unit. But the low sustain cost enables it to make for a great uber-pumped unit also. Throw on a pearl oelnon, for instance, and you have a 20/45 with the potential to become a 40/45--that's a Teradone knight for a third of the sustain cost. Add a glacial dagger and you have a 55/45 that can kill fervent wyvern for free. And this is all within water--partner with, say, order, and you gain limitless options for pumping up your spearman. All told, the value of Khamen spearman is its versatility. It can make for a great, inexpensive chump blocker or sacrifice kill. But put a few valuable items into it, and soon you have a virtually free wrecking ball. |
